We are excited to announce that the Alliance Healthcare Foundation has accepted Family Proud into Phase 1 of its grant process for its Innovative Initiative Challenge Grant. The Innovation Initiative (i2) Challenge Grant seeks innovations that work to reduce costs and increase capacity and quality of the current health paradigm in San Diego and Imperial counties. Eligible applicants are provided with a year-long demonstration and workshop cycle where they are given the opportunity to perfect their grant proposal and business plan with the help of experts provided by the Alliance Healthcare Foundation. During this 12 month period, the Program and Evaluation Committees take the time to get to know finalists and further understand their innovation solution prior to selecting recipient(s) of the grant.
The Alliance Healthcare Foundation continuously works towards its mission of a San Diego and Imperial County region that contains equitable health resources that lead to universal health. To do this, the organization focuses on funding, advocacy, and convening, and works with nonprofits, funders, social enterprises, and government and community agencies to do so.
