Small Business Innovation and Research (SBIR) Phase II Milestone 3 Achieved

Family Proud visited the Mountain Home Air Force Base in Mountain Home, Idaho this month to present the completion of another milestone to the 366th Wing MUNS and MXG units. This represents the completion and funding of three out of five milestones to be completed for the Air Force under this $750,000 SBIR grant. As we move into the next phase of this engagement, we will be working closely with the Airmen Support Teams (AST) of both units to test and validate the Family Proud platform’s ability to support airmen and facilitate communication with established resources. We are excited to move forward with the Mountain Home team to develop and roll out Family Proud on a much broader base!

SBIR Direct to Phase II with the 6 Air Refueling Wing (ARW)

Family Proud is currently being considered for an additional SBIR grant to work with the 6 ARW at Macdill Air Force Base in Tampa, Florida. This opportunity will provide an additional $750,000 - $1.2M of non-dilutive funding to Family Proud as we support resilience efforts through through increased engagement and education around mental health support initiatives. A wide range of supporters have advocated for the benefits Family Proud will provide toward the goal of improved resilience for airmen.

Caregiver Network Club’s Annual Picnic in the Park

Family Proud will be attending and supporting the Caregiver Network Club in Buena Vista Park at 1601 Shadowridge Dr. Vista, CA 92081. The free event is for family members taking care of a loved one, compassionate caregivers and anyone in the health care industry that supports caregivers and serves seniors in the community. Food and drinks will be provided. If interested in attending or donating to the raffle, please RSVP to Kelly at onelovingcaregiver@gmail.com by 10/19/22.
